Cross Border Protection Specialist

About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cross Border Protection Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations at U.S. borders. They will also facilitate legitimate trade and travel while preventing the illegal entry of individuals and goods.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical thinking abilities with attention to detail is required as they must make determinations based on findings that may lead to arrests, seizure of property or fines.

Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of three (3) years full-time general work experience; OR bachelor's degree or successful completion of a four-year course study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; OR combination of successfully completed college education AND general work experience.
  OR A minimum one year specialized full time work experience equivalent next lower grade level which includes performing physical inspections people/documents/goods criminal activity/fraud/operations;
  making determinations compliance Federal State/local Laws/regulations leading arrest/seizure property/fines penalties including reviewing documentation applying federal/state local laws regulations making determination next action needed.
  The GS-5/GS-7 positions requires strong communication skills ability learn body facts knowledge/law enforcement techniques government policies procedures easily transferring real world application custom border protection /
