What you'll be doing

You will be joining the Optimization & Process Engineering Team within Infrastructure and Modernization. As a Consultant, Process Engineering, you will collaborate with business partners to find improvements that help the business unit reach their objectives through process improvements, artificial intelligence solutions, and intelligent automation. You'll play a key role in discovering high-value opportunities and delivering end-to-end solutions that combine AI agents, bots, and human expertise to optimize processes. 

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Management - Use process engineering methodologies, project management, and automation frameworks to work on projects and initiatives. Collaborate with team members to set goals, guide and motivate teams, and facilitate meetings with large groups (10+) of stakeholders, ensuring alignment on desired outcomes. Foster relationships across CIBC to drive common goals and promote effective teamwork. 
  • Opportunity Identification & Solutioning - Proactively analyze business processes to identify areas for improvement, including automation opportunities. Frame business challenges and design innovative solutions that leverage agentic and intelligent automation, digitization, and human expertise. You can solve problems and organize work. You can study data/situations fully and accurately to guide or reach effective decisions.  
  • Project Execution - Lead and manage process improvement and automation projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering and technical design to implementation and post-launch evaluation. Apply knowledge of project management tools, methodologies, and principles to plan, prioritize, and organize work based on available resources. 
  • Technical Enablement - Leverage skills in process re-engineering, data analytics, and intelligent automation to design and deliver robust solutions. Experience with AI enablement, and automation tools is an asset. 
  • Interpersonal Relations - You have effective communication skills and can present clearly and concisely using examples or illustrations. You can convince others and encourage process improvement. 
  • Value Quantification & Prioritization - Assess and quantify the potential impact of process and automation initiatives, prioritize projects based on business value, and ensure efficient resource utilization.

Its an asset if you have a broad understanding of Agentic and Generative AI and intelligent automation concepts. Lean Six Sigma certification, or work with enterprise technology platforms that leverage logic-based workflows/rules would be an asset.
