Our HQ is steps from Union Station in Toronto, with another office near Parliament Hill in Ottawa. We operate on a hybrid model, with in-person time typically limited to onboarding and training, team collaboration, and key client meetings.
About the Role
As a Senior Associate, Paid Search, you own performance outcomes across a portfolio of paid search accounts. You lead day-to-day strategy and optimization, translate performance signals into clear action plans, and ensure campaigns deliver against business objectives.
You operate with strong autonomy. You are trusted to make optimization decisions, manage pacing and risk, and elevate performance quality across accounts. You also support the development of Associates and Junior Associates by providing guidance, feedback, and context.
This role is ideal for someone ready to move beyond execution into true performance ownership.
What you'll own
Performance strategy and optimization
- Own end-to-end management of paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.
- Set and evolve testing roadmaps across bidding, structure, audiences, creative, and landing page inputs.
- Translate business objectives into channel strategy, KPIs, and optimization priorities.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities before they impact performance.
Performance accountability
- Manage budget pacing, forecasting, and allocation across accounts.
- Drive improvements in CPL, CAC, ROAS, and other core metrics aligned to client goals.
- Ensure campaign structure, tracking, and data integrity meet quality standards.
- Make timely, high-confidence optimization decisions within scope.
Insight and communication
- Lead performance analysis and clearly articulate insights, trade-offs, and recommendations.
- Contribute to client-ready reporting narratives that connect platform performance to business outcomes.
- Partner closely with Client Service and Media Strategy to align search plans with broader channel strategy.
Quality and team enablement
- Raise the bar on QA, documentation, and process discipline.
- Provide guidance and feedback to Associates and Junior Associates on builds, optimizations, and analysis.
- Model strong judgement, prioritization, and thoughtful AI usage in daily work.
What you bring
Requirements
- Experience managing paid search campaigns with demonstrated ownership of performance outcomes.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, including structure, bidding strategies, audience layering, and testing frameworks.
- Proven ability to interpret performance data and convert insights into clear action.
- Experience managing budgets and pacing with minimal oversight.
- Clear and concise communicator who can explain performance trends and strategic shifts to internal stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with consistent accuracy across builds, optimizations, and reporting.
- Uses AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency, quality, and analytical depth within scope.
Nice to have
- Experience working in an agency environment.
- Exposure to cross-channel planning or integrated campaign strategy.
- Experience supporting or mentoring more junior team members.
- Familiarity with analytics platforms such as GA4 or other attribution tools.
Compensation transparency
Compensation is based on experience and skill set. This role is also eligible for performance bonus consideration and a comprehensive benefits package, including mental health coverage, major dental, and an annual health spending allowance.
