This is not a basic design role. Your job is to turn key moments into scroll stopping thumbnails that drive serious clicks and increase CTR. We upload weekly and performance matters. Every thumbnail must create curiosity, authority, and tension within seconds.
You will work directly with the founder and editor to concept and design thumbnails that balance cinematic quality with performance psychology. We are building a long term visual identity and scaling aggressively.
We want someone who is obsessed with CTR. Someone who studies performance, analyzes why a thumbnail won or lost, and is always looking for ways to improve. If you design once and move on, this is not for you. If you iterate, test, tweak, and constantly refine, we want you.
What You'll Do
Concept thumbnails around the core hook before each video goes live.
Design bold, clean, high status visuals that instantly communicate scale or opportunity.
Review CTR data with us and proactively suggest improvements.
Continuously test new angles, framing, expressions, contrast, and simplicity.
Help shape the long term visual direction of the channel as we grow.
What We're Looking For
3+ years designing YouTube thumbnails that perform.
Expert level Photoshop skills with strong compositing, lighting, and facial emphasis.
Deep understanding of YouTube psychology, curiosity gaps, and click behavior.
A genuine investment in improving CTR and pushing performance higher over time.
Ability to work quickly under weekly deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Strong communication and comfort working directly with a founder led brand.
Bonus if you understand entrepreneurship, eCommerce, sourcing, or documentary style content.
This is long term for the right person. We want a growth focused creative partner, not just a designer.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months.
