The project documents a soil excavation process and associated expert commentary. The final output will include one comprehensive long-form documentary edit that captures the full narrative of the day, as well as multiple shorter segmented cuts extracted from key sections of the master edit. These segments should function as standalone pieces while maintaining the integrity of the overall story.
This is not a social media hype video. The tone must be structured, clear, credible, and professionally paced. The finished film will be used in a formal advocacy context, so clarity and authority are critical.
The primary deliverable will be a structured long-form documentary edit, likely in the range of 12 to 20 minutes depending on the material. You will be responsible for building narrative flow from interviews and process footage, maintaining logical progression and clear storytelling throughout.
Secondary deliverables will include breaking the master edit into clearly defined segment-based versions, essentially chaptered cuts that can stand alone as individual pieces. Each segment should feel complete and coherent on its own, not simply trimmed excerpts.
The edit will require strong dialogue-driven storytelling, clean audio balancing, light sound design, and natural, professional colour grading. Simple lower thirds or titles may be required. We anticipate one to two rounds of revisions. Estimated footage volume is approximately three to five hours.
We are looking for someone with strong documentary storytelling ability and experience structuring long-form, interview-driven content. You should be comfortable identifying narrative beats, shaping chapters, and maintaining clarity without over-stylising the edit. A clean, restrained style and strong audio sensibility are essential. Professional communication and reliability are very important to us.
Deliverables will include the final long-form master edit, the individual segmented exports, the project file (Adobe Premiere preferred), and a well-organised timeline structure.
We are aiming for a rough assembly within seven days of project commencement, with final delivery within two to three weeks.
