Über
The work is centered on a character + environment system with progression states and unlock logic, where the scene changes based on user state. We care a lot about solid architecture, clean UI overlays, and performance. The output should be built in a way that can reliably communicate with our web backend and be controlled by data/state coming from our app.
You should have experience shipping 3D experiences that connect to external systems via APIs/webhooks, and ideally have worked with WebGL builds (Unity) or web-friendly Unreal workflows. Familiarity with authentication tokens, REST endpoints, and passing state/events between the 3D client and a web app is a big plus.
Phase one is a working prototype that we can embed inside our web app: basic character representation (customizable like sims), environment that evolves across a few states, UI overlay elements, and a simple integration layer that reads/writes user state through our API. We'll provide endpoints and expected payloads — you'll implement the client-side integration and event callbacks.
If you're interested, please share examples of similar work (3D + web integration), your preferred engine and why, and your estimate for timeline/budget to deliver a web-embeddable prototype that can talk to a Node/Express backend.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
