Position Job Title: Digital Marketing Manager
Location: Remote (Eastern Canada)
Reports To: Vice President, Marketing – GUS Medical and Veterinary Schools
Primary Purpose
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Digital Marketing Manager will work with various stakeholders and internal teams to launch campaigns on time and on budget. The Digital Marketing Manager will be leading GUS Medical and Veterinary Schools' integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.
Specific Responsibilities
Write and oversee the implementation of the execution of plans and briefs for digital marketing campaigns through various channels, including PPC, Paid Social, Affiliate, SEO, and Email Marketing.
Collaborate with various internal stakeholders and external vendors by acting as the first point of contact within the Digital Marketing Team.
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop marketing strategies and tactics to increase enrolment and brand awareness.
Measure and report the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against KPIs and ROI.
Manage project timelines and requirements to ensure projects are delivered with high quality and achieve expected results.
Identify trends and insights in digital marketing. Test new campaigns and explore new paid and organic channels. Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
Assist the Director of Marketing in keeping track of the budget and optimizing digital spending.
Identify critical conversion and drop-off points that can be used to optimize user funnels and boost conversion rates.
Assist in overseeing the creation of landing pages and web forms and optimizing the user experience.
Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
Identifies critical conversion points and drop-off points and optimizes user funnels.
Continuously recommend ways to improve internal processes and procedures for better efficiency.
Assist with quality control to ensure brand consistency.
Evaluate competitors.
Assist with other day-to-day marketing activities as needed.
Position Requirements
To be successful in the Digital Marketing Manager position, an individual must possess, and be committed to developing, maintaining and demonstrating the following:
Competencies:
Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
Experience in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns.
Solid knowledge of website analytics tools, including Google Analytics.
Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, and display advertising campaigns.
Strong project management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
Impeccable attention to detail.
Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, processing figures with spreadsheets, and reporting on the campaign results. Being able to derive meaning from data through A/B testing and email optimization.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
Proven experience developing and executing complex marketing plans and campaigns.
The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
Knowledge and understanding of GDPR and CASL legislation.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience working in digital marketing.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role with direct reports.
Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce).
Past experience working in higher education sector is a plus.
Will be required to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
