Description:
We are looking for an experienced WordPress developer to integrate The Movie Database (TMDb) API into our WordPress website. The ideal candidate should have experience working with APIs, WordPress customizations, and dynamic content display.
Responsibilities:
Connect and authenticate with the TMDb API.
Fetch and display movie, TV shows, and other media content dynamically.
Implement search, filters, and sorting functionality for TMDb data.
Ensure proper caching and optimization for fast load times.
Integrate API data into custom WordPress pages, widgets, or shortcodes.
Troubleshoot and fix any issues related to API integration.
Provide clear documentation for future updates and maintenance.
Requirements:
Proven experience in WordPress development (themes and plugins).
Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and REST APIs.
Prior experience with TMDb API or similar media APIs is preferred.
Ability to create custom WordPress solutions without breaking core functionality.
Familiarity with API authentication methods (API keys, OAuth, etc.).
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Nice to Have:
Experience with custom post types for movies/TV shows.
Knowledge of caching plugins and performance optimization in WordPress.
Experience creating responsive and user-friendly layouts for media content.
