We are an established e-commerce brand in the children's crafts space, operating since 2016 and growing ~30% YoY over the last five years. We sell on Amazon, Shopify, and Etsy, and our goal is to scale to 8 figures. We run a small, remote, international team and we care deeply about honesty & transparency, quality products, and inspiring creativity.
We do not micromanage.
We expect people to take ownership of outcomes, not just complete tasks.
Why This Role Exists
Right now, the CEO is carrying too much of the operational and growth load: PPC strategy + execution, logistics, KPI review, Amazon strategy, product research & sourcing, listing optimization guidance, and expansion planning.
The business is performing, but it's constrained by bandwidth. We need an Operations Manager who will step in like a brand owner, take control of the operational engine, and help us systematically drive:
• better profitability and cost efficiency
• stronger conversion rate (CVR) and listing performance
• smarter experimentation (A/B testing)
• scalable PPC ownership and team building
• smoother launches and cross-channel expansion
This role exists to move from "CEO-operated" to a repeatable, scalable operating system.
What You Will Own
You will own outcomes across Amazon operations (primary) and help orchestrate expansion beyond Amazon.
1) Amazon Growth & Profitability Ownership
• Monitor and improve key KPIs (CVR, TACoS/ACoS, contribution margin, inventory efficiency, market share signals)
• Identify what's underperforming, diagnose root causes, and drive improvements without waiting to be told
• Recommend strategic moves (pricing, promo strategy, variant strategy, lifecycle strategy)
2) PPC Ownership + Team Build-Out
• Take over PPC run through Scale Insights (hands-on at first)
• Create structure/process so PPC becomes scalable and less founder-dependent
• Hire and train support (or manage contractors) as needed to maintain and grow performance
3) Testing & Optimization Engine
• Oversee A/B testing roadmap (prioritization, hypothesis, measurement, learnings)
• Work with the marketing/content team to guide images and messaging that lift conversion
• Ensure experiments lead to decisions and repeatable playbooks
4) Launch & Expansion Operations
• Own operational readiness for launches (timelines, assets, inventory coordination, PPC launch plan, listing readiness)
• Help plan and organize expansion to additional channels (Shopify/Etsy and beyond) in a structured way
This is a role for someone who can think strategically and execute—because we are still a small company and we need a true operator.
Who This Role Is NOT For
This role is not for:
• Someone looking for a side project or "extra client"
• Someone managing many brands at the same time
• Someone who needs daily direction or waits for tasks
• Someone who prefers staying only at a high level and avoiding hands-on execution
• Someone whose schedule can't mostly align with PST working overlap
We're building long-term, and we need someone who wants to own something meaningful.
Standards & Expectations
We expect:
• Ownership: You take responsibility for results, not activity
• Proactive communication: You surface issues early and propose solutions
• Structured thinking: You work from priorities, data, and clear plans
• Continuous improvement: You test, learn, document, and systemize
• Long-term mindset: You're here to build a stable operating machine, not do short-term "fixes"
Role Details
• Remote + flexible, international team
• Must mostly align with PST for collaboration
• Key leadership position working closely with the CEO and leadership team
• Salary range: $1,000–$1,500/month (based on experience and demonstrated ability to own outcomes)
