Über
Primary responsibility is turning raw content (typically Google Docs) into polished, professional assets with strong hierarchy, typography, and visual structure. The output should resemble consulting-grade materials, not startup or social-media design.
This is not a social media design role and not a brand identity role.
Key Responsibilities
Convert Google Docs into well-structured, visually polished PDFs and white papers
Design lead magnets used in Facebook ads and other paid channels
Apply clear hierarchy: headings, subheads, callouts, emphasis, and spacing
Emphasize key ideas visually without rewriting content
Maintain consistency with existing brand guidelines (colors, fonts, layout)
Create supporting marketing assets such as one-pagers or summary PDFs when needed
Prepare final files for download, distribution, and print-ready export when required
Required Skills and Experience
Strong editorial and layout design skills
Excellent typography and spacing fundamentals
Experience designing long-form B2B documents (white papers, reports, PDFs)
Ability to make complex information clean, scannable, and professional
Proficiency in Figma or Adobe InDesign (InDesign preferred for long documents)
Comfort working from Google Docs and raw text
Nice-to-Have (Back-Pocket Skills)
Light brand application experience
Basic understanding of conversion-focused design for lead magnets
Ability to create simple marketing collateral beyond PDFs when needed
Familiarity with Canva (not Canva-dependent)
What This Role Is Not
Not a social media or ad creative role
Not a logo or brand identity role
Not a UI/UX or product design role
Ideal Candidate
Someone who values clarity, restraint, and structure. You should be comfortable designing documents similar in tone and quality to consulting firms or investor materials. Attention to hierarchy, readability, and polish matters more than visual flair.
Engagement Details
Project-based to start, with potential for ongoing work
First project will be converting a ~9-page Google Doc into a polished PDF white paper
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
