Position Overview:
Reporting to a Team Lead, the Retail Staffing Specialist is responsible for executing the hourly talent acquisition process for the Home Depot Canada stores and distribution centres ensuring the company hires a diverse, high quality performance workforce. The ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for recruitment and the ability to identify great talent for our organization.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage candidates during phone and video interviews to identify relevant skills and strong customer service skills
  • Present high quality, qualified candidates to store leaders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Retail Staffing Centre (RSC) team and hiring managers
  • Ensure consistency, efficiency and compliance with applicable legislation and company policies.
  • Ensure all staffing activities are compliant with the established sourcing, recruiting, and selection procedures including maintaining appropriate recordkeeping
  • Make recommendations as to improvements needed in order to streamline processes.
  • Collaborate with Team Lead and RSC Manager on special projects

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires sitting at a workstation for the majority of the day, with minimal standing.
  • Operating a computer and other technology.

Working Conditions:

  • Working in an office setting: computer work, camera on virtual meetings, taking support calls   

Minimum Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree or Equivalent Work Experience

Minimum Years of Work Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years in Human Resources with a strong concentration in recruitment and selection

Minimum Leadership Experience:

  • NA

  • NA

Other Requirements/Assets:

  • Bilingual (written & spoken) in English and in French is an asset
