If you want to play a part in shaping an innovative industry and help build a historically significant company, we want to meet you.   As the Production Manager, you will oversee the production teams and activities, keep accurate records of production levels and provide solutions to incidents that could impact production. The ideal candidate is energetic, collaborative and forward- thinking. This position is based out of Stayner, Ontario   What you'll be doing:
  • Providing leadership, coaching and mentoring to a team of supervisors and team leaders across a 2-shift operation
  • Oversee daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Manage production schedules, ensuring orders are completed on-time and in-full each day
  • Monitor workflow, capacity, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development plans
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and open communication
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain product standards and reduce defects
  • Support investigations and problem solving to address and prevent issues in production
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and streamline processes
  • Implement Lean, 5S, and other improvement methodologies to improve efficiencies and reduce waste
  • Support robust training practices and develop programs to reduce turnover and increase retention
  • Track and analyze KPIs to drive data‑based decision‑making
  • Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime
  • Coordinate with Engineering for process improvements, new equipment installations and new product launches
  • Budget responsibilities for entire production department, including managing expenses and direct labour utilization
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Materials, Quality, and HR to support plant goals.
  • Communicate production status, challenges, and progress to senior leadership
  • Prepare and present daily production metrics and monthly production results
  • Promote a safe working environment through training, audits, and corrective actions
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and problem solving in production
  • Support production teams in achieving their objectives and daily production metrics, including work order closure and batch record management
  • Ensure enforcement of Customer Specific Requirements and compliance with all governmental regulations
  • Adhere to all Cronos Group and departmental procedures as required
  • Address performance, attendance or interpersonal issues quickly and thoroughly
  • Perform, direct and/or carry out any reasonable assignments required by Management.

  • Required to work overtime as needed
  • Range of temperatures, depending on product requirements
  • Lifting up to lbs
  • Standing & walking for long periods of time
  You'll need to have:
  • 7-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in a technical or business field
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, Microsoft Office, training, ERP systems (SAP preferred), Lean/5S culture with demonstrated history of improvements
  • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build and inspire teams, coach, mentor and develop supervisors and excellent collaboration skills for cross-departmental relationship building
  • Able to supply acceptable Criminal Record Check
Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000 (Stayner, Ontario*) per year   The actual compensation offered will be based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, applicable market data, internal equity, and business needs, and may vary within the stated range.
