We are looking for an exceptional Junior Accountant to join our Accounting department.

This position is for an existing vacancy.

Position Summary 

The Junior Accountant supports the Accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing of accounting transactions. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to develop hands-on experience across core accounting functions, including reconciliations, invoicing, month-end support, and financial reporting.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Junior Accountant plays an important role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Process and record invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and post journal entries as required.
  • Complete account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Support audit activities by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Assist with internal and external financial reporting requirements.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
  • Support the Finance team with ad hoc accounting tasks and projects.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment-related issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Requirements and Skills:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and/or a related discipline.
  • Minimum one (1) or more years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suit.
  • Experience using accounting software, such as QuickBooks and Business Central.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proactive and results oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills.
