The location in Lachine, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Sales Representative (Montreal) . This job is full-time permanent.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for maximizing sales, profitability, growth and market penetration in a vast territory located in the province of Quebec, mostly in the Montreal area, effectively selling products from all our market segments: paper products, packaging products, digital and large format solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with existing customers or prospects in their designated territory to generate sales
- Meet or exceed Ariva’s strategic objectives with professionalism while adhering to Domtar’s values: agility, caring, innovation.
- Expand existing territory by opening new accounts or developing inactive or non-existent accounts
- Develop and manage an action plan to ensure objectives are met. The “SMART” strategy is used to develop this action plan
- Prepare and submit activity and results reports
- Analyze current product offering and value-added products for existing or potential customers within their territory and determine value to the organization
- Resolve issues following customer complaints after investigation, elaboration of solutions, preparation of reports while working in close collaboration with our suppliers
- Coordinate sales efforts with Customer Service, Marketing, Sales Management, Warehouse, Logistics and Credit departments
- Work closely with the Customer Service and Merchandising teams to ensure that they are adequately informed about customer profiles, ongoing inquiries and product offerings, while providing a high level of support and maintenance of our day-to-day operations.
Education and professional expertise required :
- University degree or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of sales experience
- Effective communication, conflict resolution and time management skills
- Dedicated individual looking to develop through in-depth training, and to grow and develop within the
company
- Team player, customer-oriented, problem-solving skills, business acumen
- Professionalism, leadership, change management and influencing skills
- Bilingualism, both written and spoken
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs
