Join our advanced logistics team as an Inventory Control Specialist in San Jose, California. This pivotal role requires a sharp, analytical mind dedicated to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be at the forefront of optimizing our supply chain through meticulous data management and process improvement. Your duties will include:
- Conducting rigorous cycle counts and comprehensive physical inventories.
- Investigating root causes of inventory variances and implementing corrective actions.
- Developing and refining inventory control policies and procedures.
- Managing and updating inventory data within our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyzing inventory turnover, identifying stock optimization opportunities, and preparing reports.
- Collaborating closely with warehouse operations, logistics, and procurement teams.
- Ensuring adherence to all safety standards, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Overseeing stock rotation and minimizing obsolescence.
The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of inventory management principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in WMS software. Significant experience in a warehouse or logistics role is mandatory. While primarily an analytical position, occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
