We are looking for an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our expanding logistics hub in Miami, Florida. This critical role involves operating specialized machinery to manage inventory in our high-density racking systems. Your expertise will be essential for maintaining efficient storage, retrieval, and overall warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Operate reach trucks to move, stack, and retrieve inventory within racking systems.
- Safely load and unload trailers and containers.
- Perform daily inspections of reach truck equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Accurately place and pick inventory, ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Support receiving and shipping departments as needed.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization through effective material handling.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck, with valid certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment, specifically operating powered industrial trucks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures, including recognizing and mitigating hazards.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial judgment.
- Ability to work at heights and in various warehouse conditions.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace, including proper PPE usage.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of logistics operations and material flow.
