Seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa! This role is integral to the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on the safe and efficient movement of goods. You will operate forklifts to transport, locate, and stack inventory, ensuring materials are handled with precision. Your duties will also include assisting in the loading and unloading of trucks, as well as participating in inventory management and order fulfillment. A thorough understanding of warehouse logistics and a steadfast commitment to safety are essential. Regular pre-shift equipment checks are required to maintain operational integrity. The ability to meticulously follow instructions and maintain accurate records of material handling is crucial. We emphasize a culture of safety, and all employees must strictly follow safety protocols and wear designated PPE at all times. While forklift operation is the primary focus, some manual lifting of items up to 50 lbs may be necessary. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Safely transport inventory between different areas of the warehouse.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and related equipment.
- Support receiving and put-away processes by moving stock efficiently.
- Assist in order picking and staging for shipment.
- Maintain clear and accurate logs of material movements.
- Uphold all safety standards and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with demonstrable experience.
- Familiarity with different forklift models and warehouse equipment.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
