We are seeking a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our Logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing outgoing shipments, preparing shipping documentation, and coordinating with carriers. Your attention to detail will ensure that orders are shipped correctly and on time, contributing to our overall customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the warehouse staff to facilitate the smooth flow of goods and maintain organization. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all Safety guidelines and the use of required PPE is mandatory. This position requires an organized individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently. Experience in a similar role or within a Logistics environment is preferred. Responsibilities:
- Preparing and documenting all outgoing shipments.
- Verifying order accuracy before shipment.
- Scheduling pickups with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.).
- Updating tracking information in the Logistics system.
- Communicating with customers and internal teams regarding shipment status.
- Ensuring proper labeling and packaging of all shipments.
- Maintaining a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhering to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assisting with other Logistics tasks as needed.
- Understanding of safe Lifting practices when handling packages.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related administrative role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and common carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of Logistics and shipping procedures.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Ability to perform light to moderate Lifting when necessary.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
