We have an opening for a diligent Shipping Clerk in our Raleigh, North Carolina facility. This role is central to our logistics operations, ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for preparing shipping labels, verifying order accuracy, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely dispatch of orders and customer satisfaction. A commitment to safety is essential, including adherence to all warehouse safety policies and the use of required PPE. Responsibilities:
- Generate and apply shipping labels for all outgoing packages.
- Verify that items in outgoing shipments match order details.
- Coordinate pick-up schedules with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.).
- Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments processed.
- Communicate with other departments to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Ensure proper packaging and handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and common carriers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented and reliable.
