Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in Raleigh, North Carolina? We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient flow of materials within our warehouse, supporting our overall logistics operations. This position demands precision, adherence to Safety guidelines, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers efficiently and safely.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and other goods to and from designated areas.
- Stack and store materials properly in racks, shelves, or designated storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counting and verifying stock levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse Safety standards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to forklift operation and warehouse logistics.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed, including order picking and packing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or documented proof of training.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of heavy items, up to 70 lbs.
- Deep understanding of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control systems is a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
