We are hiring a skilled Material Handler for our Austin, Texas operations. This role is central to our warehouse and logistics functions, ensuring the efficient movement and organization of materials and products. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse. You will also assist with receiving incoming shipments, stocking inventory in appropriate locations, and preparing outgoing shipments. Accurate inventory management and record-keeping are vital. This position demands a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe operation of machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience in material handling and a proven track record of working safely in a demanding environment. Physical strength and stamina are required, including the ability to perform significant lifting and prolonged periods of standing and walking. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move and store inventory within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and ensure accuracy.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse floor and storage areas.
- Follow all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification or experience.
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Material Handler role.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
