Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is seeking a skilled Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage the inbound and outbound flow of goods. This role is critical for maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring timely shipments. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming shipments, verifying contents, preparing outgoing shipments, and maintaining organized records. A meticulous approach, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to safety are essential for this position within our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming materials and shipments.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare, pack, and label outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Coordinate with carriers and internal departments to resolve shipping and receiving issues.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in using WMS software and other relevant computer systems.
- Experience operating forklifts and relevant certifications are a strong asset.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
