Job Summary:
Our Los Angeles, California facility is looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for inspecting, verifying, and documenting all goods received, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the smooth flow of our logistics operations. You will work closely with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies. A keen eye for detail and organizational skills are paramount.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
  • Verify quantities and quality of goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Document all received items accurately in the inventory management system.
  • Identify and report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with vendors and shipping companies to resolve issues.
  • Properly store received goods in designated warehouse locations.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other equipment for moving incoming freight.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and use appropriate PPE.
  • Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed to support logistics.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in receiving, shipping, or inventory control is essential.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including inventory management software.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics principles.
  • Understanding of and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
