We are seeking a certified and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is critical for the efficient storage and retrieval of inventory within our high-rack warehouse. You will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, stack, and organize products at various heights, ensuring optimal use of warehouse space. The ideal candidate possesses excellent forklift operation skills, a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, and the ability to work independently. Accuracy in placement and retrieval is essential for inventory integrity. This role requires proficiency in handling materials at height and includes some manual tasks which may involve **Lifting** up to 25 lbs. Your dedication to precision and efficiency will be highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve pallets.
- Properly store and organize inventory in designated racking systems.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks on the reach truck and report any maintenance needs.
- Ensure accurate placement and retrieval of inventory to maintain stock integrity.
- Adhere to all company **Safety** policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of **PPE**.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification as needed.
- Follow all warehouse **Logistics** guidelines for product handling and storage.
- Perform tasks that may require some manual intervention, including occasional **Lifting** of lighter items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Valid certification for operating a reach truck.
- Proven experience as a Reach Truck Operator or Forklift Operator.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to work at heights safely and confidently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent safety record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
