Our Tampa, Florida facility is looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our **Logistics** team. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately recording received items. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle **Lifting** of packages. A strong emphasis on **Safety** is crucial, including the proper use of **PPE**. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure a smooth flow of goods into our inventory. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Ensure **Safety** protocols are followed during all receiving activities.
- Utilize appropriate **PPE** as required for the task.
- Perform necessary **Lifting** and moving of received items.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, drivers, and internal teams.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse **Logistics**.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform **Lifting** up to 30 pounds.
- Understanding of **Logistics** principles.
- Commitment to **Safety** and proper **PPE** usage.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
