Job Summary:
Our Sacramento, California, distribution center is hiring an Inventory Control Specialist. This critical role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficient flow of our inventory. You will conduct regular audits, investigate variances, reconcile stock counts, and implement strategies to optimize inventory accuracy. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring stock levels, identifying obsolete items, and collaborating with **Logistics** and operations teams. This role requires the ability to handle **Lifting** of inventory items and a strong commitment to **Safety**. Proper usage of **PPE** is mandatory. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A solid understanding of warehouse **Logistics** and inventory best practices is highly valued. Your contributions will directly impact operational efficiency and **Safety**.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain precise inventory records through regular audits and cycle counts.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Implement inventory control policies and procedures to enhance accuracy.
  • Ensure efficient organization and storage of inventory, promoting safe **Lifting** techniques.
  • Collaborate with **Logistics**, receiving, and shipping departments.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage the identification and disposition of damaged or obsolete stock.
  • Ensure compliance with all company **Safety** policies, including **PPE** requirements.
  • Train warehouse personnel on inventory control procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse **Logistics**.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and WMS.
  • Understanding of **Logistics** principles and practices.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including **Lifting** up to 40 lbs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of **Safety** standards and **PPE** protocols.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
