Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Transport raw materials to production areas and finished goods to shipping docks.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment before and after each use.
- Maintain an organized warehouse environment, ensuring clear aisles and safe storage.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow all logistics procedures for efficient material flow.
- Perform minor maintenance on forklifts as needed and report larger issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of logistics and material handling principles.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be committed to wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
