We have an exciting opening for a Forklift Operator in Omaha, Nebraska! We are searching for skilled and safety-minded individuals to operate forklifts and contribute to the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This position is essential for our daily logistics operations, ensuring materials are handled, stored, and transported safely and accurately. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a solid understanding of warehouse safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, etc.) to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas and production lines.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Strictly adhere to all company Safety policies and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to achieve team goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including Lifting up to 50 pounds, when not operating equipment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, balance, and spatial reasoning skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with logistics and material handling principles.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
