We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team in Baltimore, Maryland. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that our inventory management system reflects actual stock levels. Your work is vital to the smooth operation of our logistics department, minimizing stockouts and overstock situations. A deep understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations is key. We maintain a strong focus on safety, and all team members are required to adhere to strict safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While this role is primarily focused on data and process, it may involve some light lifting and movement within the warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Manage inventory data in the WMS system, ensuring accuracy.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential issues.
- Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and other departments on inventory matters.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and use of PPE.
- Analyze inventory reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical activity, including occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety and PPE requirements.
