Your main duty will be to accurately retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You'll be utilizing advanced scanning technology and working within a structured warehouse environment. A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach are essential. We prioritize workplace safety above all else; therefore, consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strict adherence to all safety guidelines are mandatory. This job involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, reaching, and frequent lifting of items up to 35 pounds. You’ll be part of a collaborative team environment, contributing to the overall efficiency of our distribution center. Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and retrieve products based on order sheets/scanners.
- Verify product codes and quantities before picking.
- Package items carefully to prevent damage during transit.
- Stage picked orders for the packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability of lifting up to 35 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
