Our St. Louis, Missouri logistics hub is seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor. This leadership role is vital for overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing a team of warehouse associates, and ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment. Your guidance will ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient and accurate processing of all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Implement and enforce all warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Train new employees on warehouse operations, safety, and the use of PPE.
- Monitor performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Optimize workflow and operational efficiency within the logistics department.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure proper usage.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet business objectives.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or a similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices for workplace safety, including PPE requirements.
- Physical ability to occasionally assist with lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in inventory control and order fulfillment processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as business needs dictate.
