Join our dynamic logistics team in San Diego, California, as a certified Forklift Operator. This position is essential for the efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. Safety is our top priority, and we expect all operators to adhere strictly to established protocols and wear the necessary PPE. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move palletized goods.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory between different areas of the warehouse.
- Stack and organize materials in designated storage locations.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with order picking and packing when forklift duties allow.
- Maintain accurate records of movements and inventory.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Contribute to a clean and orderly work environment.
Requirements:
- Current, valid forklift certification is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of forklift operation experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Strong commitment to safety and the use of PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including potential overtime.
