We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to become a key member of our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves a wide range of warehouse activities, including receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and managing inventory. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our Logistics operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive and organized individual with a strong commitment to Safety and quality. You will work collaboratively with other team members to meet daily operational goals. This position requires physical fitness, the ability to perform tasks involving regular Lifting, and a keen eye for detail. We prioritize a safe working environment, mandating the correct use of PPE and strict adherence to all safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders accurately according to customer specifications.
- Prepare products for shipment, including proper packaging and labeling.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate various warehouse equipment as needed.
- Follow all Safety protocols and company policies.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
- Perform tasks that require regular Lifting and manual handling.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Support the smooth functioning of our Logistics department.
- Ensure the correct and consistent use of PPE.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50 lbs. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE. Basic computer skills are a plus. Understanding of basic Logistics principles is beneficial.
