Join our growing team in Detroit, Michigan as an Inventory Clerk! This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for assisting with inventory counts, organizing stock, and ensuring that our inventory management systems are up-to-date. This position plays a crucial part in our overall Logistics and supply chain efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses excellent attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will work closely with the Inventory Control Specialist and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations. This role involves physical tasks, including regular Lifting and moving of inventory. Safety is paramount, and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, is expected. Responsibilities:
- Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Verify incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Maintain organized storage of inventory items.
- Update inventory records as directed.
- Identify and report any stock discrepancies.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
- Support the Logistics team with inventory-related tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper Lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Receive and put away incoming stock.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory role preferred. Strong organizational skills. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to perform tasks requiring Lifting up to 50 lbs. Commitment to workplace Safety and wearing required PPE. Understanding of basic Logistics principles is a plus.
