A leading logistics company in Washington, D.C. is looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of goods. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and processing all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and timely delivery. This role is critical to our supply chain operations, requiring excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities include verifying shipping orders against products, preparing shipping labels and documentation, arranging transportation with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. You will also be responsible for communicating with other departments and external partners to ensure smooth logistics. A strong understanding of shipping procedures, customs regulations (if applicable), and carrier requirements is beneficial. We emphasize a safe working environment and provide comprehensive training on safety procedures and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This position involves frequent lifting and moving of packages, so a good level of physical fitness is necessary.
