We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to enhance our logistics team in sunny San Diego, California. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. Your expertise will be crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods and ensuring operational efficiency. This position demands a high level of concentration, a strong understanding of warehouse safety, and a commitment to maintaining equipment. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety-conscious, and possesses a solid understanding of logistics and material handling best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move pallets, materials, and equipment throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Perform pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on forklifts, reporting any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Support overall logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with extensive experience.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, safety procedures, and logistics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.
