Seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout our warehouse. This critical role ensures the smooth operation of our logistics and fulfillment processes, from receiving to shipping. You will handle a variety of products and materials, requiring precision and adherence to strict safety protocols. The ideal candidate is a skilled operator with a strong commitment to workplace safety, proper equipment maintenance, and efficient logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the warehouse.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory locations.
- Follow all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory control and order picking as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and material handling.
- Excellent attention to detail and focus on safety.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a reliable work ethic.
