We are looking for a motivated Material Handler to join our bustling logistics operation in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring efficient workflow and timely processing of goods. This includes operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and relocate inventory. Your attention to detail will be critical in maintaining accurate inventory levels and preventing damage to products. Safety is paramount in our facility, and we expect all employees to adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Stack and unstack pallets and materials.
- Inspect equipment for defects and report any issues to maintenance or supervision.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately recording material movements.
- Ensure that all materials are handled according to established safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to PPE and workplace safety.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator is essential.
- Valid forklift operator certification preferred.
- Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual lifting up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and the correct use of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules and material labels.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment is crucial for this logistics role.
