We are seeking a motivated Picker/Packer to join our fast-paced warehouse team in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and efficiently prepared for shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse using pick lists or scanners, verifying quantities, and carefully packing them into appropriate shipping containers. Accuracy, speed, and attention to detail are paramount. You must be committed to following all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment. This position involves significant time on your feet and may require lifting items up to 30 lbs. A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order details.
- Verify product identification and quantity for each order.
- Inspect items for quality and condition before packing.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product protection during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines and wear necessary PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required, such as receiving or stocking.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment issues to supervision.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking/packing or a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret order instructions and product labels.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate lifting.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
