We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Coordinator to manage and optimize operations at our Jacksonville, Florida facility. The successful candidate will oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management. The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for supervising a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety standards, and implementing process improvements. You will play a critical role in managing inventory accuracy, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the timely fulfillment of all orders. A keen eye for detail, commitment to safety, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential. This position involves regular interaction with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments, making strong communication skills vital. We expect candidates to be proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies. Your responsibilities will extend to ensuring the correct utilization of PPE, managing the safe handling of materials, and overseeing any necessary lifting operations. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and promote a safety-conscious culture.
- Coordinate with transportation for inbound and outbound logistics.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Oversee tasks involving lifting and material handling.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement operational improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Must be able to handle physical demands, including frequent lifting.
