We are seeking a highly skilled Forklift Operator to enhance our warehouse operations in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods within our facility. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and proficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload freight from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from various departments and storage locations.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on forklifts, reporting any issues promptly.
- Ensure all lifting and moving operations comply with safety standards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory levels.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from potential hazards.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to optimize workflow.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including inventory counts.
Qualifications:
- Certified or licensed Forklift Operator.
- Demonstrable experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Proficiency with various types of forklifts.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial reasoning skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and wearing PPE.
This role is critical to our logistics network's efficiency and safety. All forklift operators must strictly follow safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE. Ongoing training on safe lifting techniques and equipment operation is provided.
