We are looking for a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include operating forklifts to transport goods, load and unload trucks, and manage inventory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach trucks, etc.) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload materials from trailers, containers, and warehouse bays.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas, ensuring accurate placement.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking as needed.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Follow specific lifting and stacking procedures to prevent damage and ensure stability.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and good spatial awareness.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
- Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
This position is vital to our logistics operations. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and all operators must rigorously follow safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE. We provide ongoing training to ensure adherence to safe lifting and operating practices.
