Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Organize and store materials in an orderly manner, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Ensure all lifting and moving activities comply with safety regulations and best practices.
- Wear required PPE at all times in designated areas.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting (up to 75 pounds), bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient logistics operation.
