Seeking a skilled Material Handler for our bustling New York City, New York facility! As a Material Handler, you will be essential in managing the flow of materials within our warehouse, ensuring efficiency and organization. This role demands attention to detail, physical capability, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Your duties will include:
- Receiving, verifying, and stocking incoming materials and supplies.
- Transporting materials to and from designated areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods.
- Organizing and maintaining inventory in designated storage areas, including using inventory management systems.
- Preparing materials for production or shipment.
- Performing routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and reporting any issues.
- Strictly adhering to all Safety regulations and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE such as hard hats, safety vests, and steel-toed boots.
- Assisting with cycle counts and physical inventory verification.
- Supporting the overall Logistics and supply chain operations.
- Performing other material handling and warehouse tasks as needed.
This position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. The successful candidate must be proficient in operating various types of material handling equipment and comfortable with regular Lifting of items up to 60 pounds.
