We are seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials. Your efficiency and attention to Safety are crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of our logistics operations. We are committed to providing a secure work environment, and adherence to all Safety protocols is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, following all Safety procedures.
- Ensure the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse logistics.
- Handle products with care, including performing tasks that involve significant Lifting.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to meet productivity goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform basic equipment checks and maintenance.
- Understanding of logistics and material handling principles.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks, including frequent Lifting.
- Commitment to wearing all required PPE.
