Seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our bustling warehouse in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts to move, load, unload, and store materials and products. Your expertise ensures the smooth flow of goods within our logistics network, contributing significantly to the efficiency and productivity of our operations. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move pallets, cases, and other materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Stack and stage products in designated areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Properly use required PPE, including safety vests and hard hats where applicable.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Demonstrate proficiency in handling various types of freight, sometimes requiring significant Lifting.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to achieve daily targets.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or demonstrated proficiency.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance checks.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material handling principles.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts as needed.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks, including Lifting, when necessary.
- Commitment to wearing all required PPE.
