We are looking for a diligent Inventory Clerk to join our team in beautiful San Diego, California. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, verifying stock levels, investigating discrepancies, and assisting with stock put-away and retrieval. This position is crucial for our Logistics efficiency and requires a strong focus on detail and organization. You will utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and ensure data accuracy. A commitment to workplace Safety is essential, including the proper use of PPE and adherence to all safety guidelines. While not heavily focused on constant movement, the role may involve some walking, standing, and occasional Lifting of inventory items up to 30 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes, ensuring proper placement of goods.
- Retrieve inventory for production, picking, and shipping orders.
- Identify damaged or expired stock and process accordingly.
- Generate inventory reports as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom or warehouse area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE , such as safety glasses and gloves, when handling inventory.
- Support the broader Logistics team with inventory-related tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical activity, including standing, walking, and occasional Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following Safety protocols.
- Familiarity with PPE requirements is necessary.
