The Border Patrol Agent is responsible for preventing individuals from entering or exiting the country without proper documentation. This includes identifying and apprehending undocumented immigrants, as well as inspecting vehicles and cargo to detect contraband.- Detecting and deterring cross-border crimes such as smuggling, human trafficking, and narco-trafficking
- Patrolling assigned areas along U.S.-Mexico border using off-road vehicle or on-foot patrols in rugged terrain
- Investigating suspicious activity through surveillance observation or interviewing witnesses/testifying in court proceedings when necessary.
