Über
We're seeking a senior SEO expert to help grow organic visibility for a large marketplace in the local experiences space (e.g., cooking classes, private chefs, food tours). This is a strategic role involving competitive SERP analysis, actionable recommendations, and execution direction for both content and technical teams. The right person will help shape strategy and iterate based on results.
What You'll Do:
- Analyze competitive SERPs and identify ranking opportunities
- Diagnose page/intent mismatches and recommend strategic improvements
- Define content and structure recommendations for marketplace + local pages
- Create scalable SEO frameworks for multi-city coverage
- Translate strategy into detailed tasks for engineering and content
- Track performance and iterate recommendations regularly
What We're Looking For:
- 7+ years SEO experience, especially with marketplaces or multi-location sites
- Deep understanding of local intent and modern SERP behavior
- Proven success improving competitive head term rankings
- Ability to produce clear, actionable deliverables (not generic audits)
Tools We Use:
- Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush/Ahrefs, Screaming Frog/Sitebulb
Engagement:
- Contract role (Upwork) ~ hrs/week to start, with potential to expand.
Contract duration of more than 6 months. with 40 hours per week.
