This is not another bloated field service app with dispatch boards and complicated calendars. It's intentionally simple. The core idea is that he can open the app, tap a button, and log what happened that day using voice or text. The system turns that into structured entries like work hours, payments received, or reminders. From there, the app organizes everything into clients, jobs, and clear profitability summaries.
I already have a very clear vision for this app, strict boundaries for scope, and have been playing with prototypes of how it should work in Google AI Studio. This is not a vague startup idea. It's something practical that I want to build properly and cleanly from the start.
I'm looking for a React Native developer to build the Android version first. Expo is fine. Clean data modeling is important. The app needs to handle clients, jobs, logs, reminders, and basic profitability calculations in a straightforward way. Some AI-assisted parsing will likely be included so natural voice logs can be converted into structured data, but the core logic should be deterministic and reliable.
It's important that logging still works smoothly even in areas with weak signal. The app should be installable on real Android devices and ready for Play Store submission when we're ready.
I'm not looking for an agency. I'd rather work directly with a thoughtful developer who enjoys building clean tools and thinking through architecture decisions. Comfort using AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or Copilot is a must for this kind of job, as we need to be able to work efficiently on a small budget. I value clear thinking and want to collaborate with someone who loves AI-assisted coding.
When you reply, I'd love to see one or two mobile apps you've built and a brief note on how you'd approach structuring the data and backend for something like this. I'm happy to start with a clearly defined paid phase and build from there if it's a good fit. Some terms are non-negotiable. I can't hire everyone. You will need to be a very specific match, meaning someone who is smart, ambitious, experienced, and loves utilizing smart tools to get things done.
I would grealy appreicate if you do not use AI in your response. I will most likely decline any application that takes my post and tries to rewrite it as a response. I can smell those kinds of applications 8 miles away. ;) I need to hear from you as a person. If you can articulate something to me in your own words about this project, you will get my attention.
